65 Years of History
In 1946 our founder, Merle Kleweno had a radical idea—that a kitchen could be more than just a place to prepare meals. Nearly 65 years later, we continue to raise the bar for design excellence, superior products and “no excuses” service.
Longevity Counts
While many other design firms have come and gone, Kitchens By Kleweno is still here to stand behind every kitchen we’ve designed since 1946. In fact, our warranty is longer than most other firms have been in business!
Kleweno Through The Years
- 1960s: Advocated “living kitchen” concept
- 1970s: Introduced country French kitchens to the United States
- 1980s: Brought European contemporary design and products to the Midwest
- 1990s: Championed “unfitted” and “floating” furniture as well as quality cabinetry design
- 2000s: Introduced an artistic approach for concealing appliances, thus combining exceptional design with perfect function
What’s next?
For starters, we’re creating commissioned art. These kitchen furnishings are livable art pieces that can be enjoyed daily, appreciate in value and stand the test of time.
